Bill Simon and his brother Randy Simon, together with their friend and business partner Scott Redler, founded this company in 2002. The business was inspired by Bill and Randy’s dad, Freddy Simon, and is named after him. The two were profoundly influenced by his all-American home cooking and his frequent, convivial family dinners.
The plan was to reacquaint people with such homey gatherings and traditional fare. Like their slogan promises, “The Taste that Brings You Back” serves up comfort food with a familiar flavor. The pioneer store established in Hutchinson, Kansas. The restaurant chain skyrocketed to fame because to its overwhelmingly American menu.
After the first success of the business in 2004, the three founders decided to expand through franchising. In 2011, a facility was opened in Victoriaville, California, making it their 50th overall. Bowling Green, Kentucky, was the site of their one hundredth restaurant opening in 2013. Then in 2015, in Loveland, Colorado, they opened their 150th store.
They’ve expanded to more than 150 locations across 17 states, and their growth shows no signs of slowing down. They will continue to dominate the fast food market because of their dedication to serving delicious, homemade dishes.
