Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins, in-law brothers, founded the Baskin-Robbins ice cream chain. Both had a passion for ice cream even before they started working together in the field in 1945. By 1948, they had a total of six locations, all of which adhered to the same food philosophy and quality standards.
